This is the kind of role I've been waiting to see Ben Stiller do. I always thought that the combination of his style of comedy with the tone and spirit of most modern independent films would make for a pretty good match. And to top it all off, the film is written and directed by Noah Baumbach. The same man who's responsible for co-writing The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, Margot at the Wedding, and Fantastic Mr. Fox. He also wrote and directed one of my favorite movies of the last five years, The Squid and the Whale. So to make a long blog entry short, this is a movie that I am definitely looking forward to seeing.
Greenberg hits theaters on March 26th.
